The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They put the animals at ease before any check ups. Highly recommend Selinsgrove Veterinary Hospital to everyone. They also do emergency visits.

I just have to let everyone out there know that Dr. Tom and his staff have been our dog, Lucy, vet since we got her 4 years ago. The entire staff at this hospital REALLY care about the animals. Lucy suffered a severe pancreatic incident about 5 weeks ago. Dr. Tom preformed emergency surgery on her and she is with us today because of the quick diagnosis and treatment she received. I recommend the Selinsgrove Vet Hospital every chance I get. The care is phenomenal and the prices are reasonable. Keep up the great work Dr. Tom & staff! Thank you for all you do!

Just had our dog there with a horrible ear infection. They are attributing it to allergies. They quoted us at $400. As part of that fee they insisted that she have a culture of the infection done so they would know which antibiotic to give her so we wouldn't waste money on a bunch of different antibiotics. We went in to pick her up today and the woman tried to sell us prescription food. I told her we would not be buying it and she got snippy and told me that she felt like I was cutting her off. She then gave us our new total. An additional $175. $125 over the quote. When I questioned her about it she said, "well the dog will get better so it is worth it." The reason the cost was so high is due to the antibiotics they sent her home with. The very antibiotics they said we shouldn't waste our money on without doing a very expensive culture. At this point the woman had the nerve to pull the prescription food out and try to sell us on it again. To add insult to injury our dog needs a recheck in 2 weeks for another $40. I thought companion was a rip off. At least they are honest about what it is going to cost. Shameful.

I was out of town and needed to take my dog to get her anal glands expressed as they were leaking. This vet was the closest. My appointment was at 1:30 and had waited 30 mins to be seen. Was told the total for this visit would be $72 because an exam needed to be performed before doing the gland expression. I have never been to a vet where an exam had to be included. I thought this was ridiculous and just a way to get more money out of me so I decided to leave and find another vet close by. Thankfully, I was able to get my dog taken care of for $18 elsewhere and no mandatory exam was necessary. Would not recommend this place.

Dr Tom and the staff there are nice and helpful. I took my new puppy there last week for a new puppy exam and they helped me pick out the vaccines needed for my dog to be healthy. The staff explained that lyme disease was very high in are area and to get her started on the vaccine to prevent her from ever getting the disease. They also explained that flea and tick preventive is needed for her to stay bug free. I am very thankful for all there help. I would recommend this hospital to my friends and family.
